Shooting for Blue - Bridal Fashion The Lighthouse
Mark Cleghorn takes us behind the scenes on a real client fashion shoot. Shooting bridal wear at an old converted lighthouse.
Taking you through his approach to capturing the range of bridal wear, Mark explains how he maximises the old lighthouse location to get variety with the 20 dresses he needs to shoot. After scouting the location Mark shoots the first dress demonstrating how he uses a small portable Elinchrom ELB 400 to add just a kiss of light to separate the subject from the background. Then moving on to shooting the rest of the dresses, Mark demonstrates how he uses different features outside the location to create a variety of looks and styles for the client. Then moving inside the lighthouse itself Mark demonstrates his approach to shooting indoors, using natural light as his main light source while bringing in an Elinchrom ELB 400 to separate the subject from the background or to add a bit of fill light to the image.
