In this film Sam guides you through a selection of techniques used to sort through your footage to get ready for the initial edit process. Sam’s main two techniques are sorting from the Bin in the media viewer and sorting from a timeline. Both are useful for different styles of edits, with bin edit being quick and simple if you know what footage you have and what you need, and timeline sorting being useful if you have large amount of footage to sort and you are unfamiliar with the content or unsure of your final structure.
