Olive Tree Editorial - The Head Chef
Join Mark back at The Olive Tree to shoot a variety of Editorial Portraits of the staff and Head Chef Chris, on location in and around The Queensberry Hotel.
In this film we join Mark on location at The Olive Tree restaurant in Bristol as he shoots editorial portraits for their online, print and general marketing, so they need to cover a range of styles. In this section Mark shoots a wide variety of portraits of the restaurants’ head chef Chris. Mark starts by setting up a creative, slow shutter shot in the restaurant itself, using the waiters moving through to create a unique and interesting image. Mark then progress out into the courtyard for some more traditional portraits, utilising a mixture of natural light and off camera flash. This continues back inside the hotel, before Mark throws in a few more creative shots, adding a touch of horror with some strong lighting and a simple prop, evoking the popular Kitchen Nightmares style. Finally they wrap up by heading back into the kitchen to quickly grab the standard chef in situ style shots before service starts.
