Mark Shoots Star Wars
Join Mark as he looks back at over the strange coincidences that have ended up with him shooting Darth Maul and Darth Vader live on stage, and how knowing your lighting will allow you to take great images, whatever opportunities happen to walk by.
In this film we join Mark as he reviews and explains how he came to shoot the coolest bad guys in the galaxy just by sheer luck whilst demonstrating at several large photographic events. Marks first opportunity came whilst out in Finland where Darth Maul just happened to walk past at just the right time, but then by nailing the images, live and unplanned, meant the characters were more than happy to return for a full shoot. Then several years later almost the same thing happened, but this time it was the man himself Darth Vader. Mark explains how his knowledge of lighting meant he could react and capitalise on these opportunities. So keep practicing and learning as you never know when that next great character might walk right past.
