Step by Step Brian takes you through how to step an FTP server on your laptop, first demonstrating the setup on an iOS system then moving on to a windows OS system. Brian also examples the benefits from using FTP servers to wirelessly transfer images such as being able to have multiple cameras and photographers connected to the device and cameras only connect when transferring images, minimizing bandwidth uses for fast image transfers when using multiple cameras.
