This film made in conjunction with The Lastolite School Of Photography and concentrates on the LiteTable and how it is used to shoot simple and complex products for still life or for brochures.
The film gives you an insight in to using and getting the best out of a Lastolite LiteTable when shooting items in a studio or on location.
Mark Cleghorn demonstrates from the setting up of the LiteTable to the lighting a product for a three dimensional effect.
Mark discusses the history of the LiteTable in the commercial studio, then shows you how to set it up and how to dismantle it. Then Mark shows you how he use studio flash and accessories to shoot better product photography, including graduated backgrounds and adding colour. Finally food photography is the topic, shooting for stock but using the RayD8 continuous light source with fluorescent bulb's to avoid any heat from tungsten lamps.

Sekonic Meter, LiteTable
The Lastolite still life table ?LiteTable? will revolutionize your product photography with its Features ease of use and light control. It can be assembled in minutes (without the use of any
screws, bolts or allen keys!) and folds flat into a handy carry case when not in use,
making it ideal for occasional use and location work. The unique patented design allows
the photographer to control the light distribution underneath the table by positioning the
light in different ways, creating graduated backgrounds or a completely even tone. With
gels the creative possibilities are endless. Many of these techniques have previously
been difficult with conventional light tables as they have open sides underneath.
