We Join Tarlochen on a real client three day Sikh wedding, as he shares his in-depth knowledge of the religious and cultural traditions.

With 20 years’ experience and being a Sikh himself, Tarlochen has vast knowledge of shooting Sikh weddings. Lucky for us Tarlochen wants to share this knowledge, allowing anyone to break into the Sikh wedding market.

We continue the third and final day of the Sikh wedding. Once the marriage ceremony is completed it is finished with a prayer called a Ardās. The family and friends come forward to bless the couple with gifts, this is called the Shaggan. After this Tarlochen takes the opportunity to shoot some quick portraits of the Bride & Groom whilst everyone moves on to the reception venue.

Equipment: Canon XF105, Canon 5D MkIII, Canon 5D MkII, Canon 24-105mm f4 x2,

Presenter:

Carl will share his studio work with us and look in depth at how he lights his subjects to create his stunning images. Looking at the lighting and accessories use to create the images.
Artistic nude photography will take you into the thrilling world of joint creative endeavours. Carl will talk about how best to collaborate with models.
Carl will also briefly touch on how he uses Lightroom and plugins to tweak images and convert to monochrome.

Carl’s love for the camera and his fascination with light go back to university days where photographing sporting and other events paid the fees. Having qualified as a civil engineer he remembers being tempted to follow a photographic career but opted for the corporate world instead. After retiring early, he has spent the past 9 years pursuing his passion for artistic nude photography. Making a living is no longer the imperative – creating, sharing knowledge and having fun is.

Carl operates out of a converted 19th century coach house in Fareham, Hampshire where he “plays with light”, does commissioned shoots and conducts one to one lighting workshops in artistic nude photography.

This webinar contains full frontal nudity and if under 18 please get permission to vue.

Presenter:

Dominic is a qualified craftsman with The Photographer Academy and all of us here are huge fans of his work. We have invited Dominic to join us on this webinar to share his travel photography and he captures his incredible images.

"My photography is very much my personal take on the world around me and hopefully conveys this to the viewer. I have always been an avid traveler and this drove a desire in me to bring back images that were something more than the usual snapshots. I grew up with cameras as my father was a photographer and I guess I learned to see the world as black and white which is something that has stayed with me and drives much of my work nowadays. I do still occasionally use vintage film cameras but digital now makes our lives so much easier. I was lucky enough to spend 6 months travelling around the UK and Ireland last year in my 1964 VW campervan and a lot of the images being shown here are from that trip." Dominic Byrne.
